A Treasure Chest of Inspiration Three years ago, The Cenacle Press at Silverstream Priory, republished an incredible book from 1942 titled “Just For Today.” It is a compilation of 365 daily quotations from Saint Therese, matched with excerpts from The Imitation of Christ (which she had thoroughly memorized as a young girl.) The author/compiler is listed as a Benedictine of Stanbrook, Worcester. And, as the Introduction by The Right Reverend Monsignor Ronald Knox says, it is like a string of pearls pulled out of two treasure chests, perfectly matched. Since October 3rd is St Therese’s traditional feast day, I though I should recommend “Just For Today” to the Gloria.tv members. Like many others, I’ve read through The Imitation many times, but the presentation in this book is done with such inspiration, that I find precious gems from The Imitation that I had completely over-looked before.
